The Rock

The Rock is the student ministry at First Baptist Church Cameron, and it is the central place for students to find community and grow in Christ! We serve and minister to students (6th–12th grade) and their parents! It’s our joy to provide opportunities for students to connect with one another and Jesus through Life Bible Study, weekly gatherings, mission trips, fun events, and with Leaders and The FBC Staff! We look forward to getting to know your student as you get to know us!

The Goal

As a ministry, everything we do is to help students have Kingdom Hearts and live Kingdom Lives.

Kingdom Hearts: We want students to know Jesus, love Jesus, and see His supremacy in their lives.

Kingdom Lives: We want to see students sharing Jesus, serving others, being trained to impact their community, and represent Jesus through living their lives with the Kingdom of God in mind.

The Strategy

We accomplish our goal by the following strategy.

Gather: High-energy, fun environments made for students to feel comfortable to gather and invite their friends, build community, and point people to Jesus.

Grow: Opportunities to dive into Scripture in either an open or closer group of students in an effort to grow and look more like Jesus by knowing their identity in Christ & that they have a mission & purpose in God’s Kingdom.

Give: Students are prepared and trained for a life on mission by first exploring missions, then being equipped for specific missions, in hopes to fully embrace missions in their lives to then have a life and faith established on living missionally.

When Do Y’all Meet?

Sundays — Life Bible Study

Life Bible Study is an open small group of students with adult leaders building relationships with one another while studying God’s Word.

Sunday’s at 9:30a.

Wednesdays — Mid-Week

During the school year on Wednesday evenings students gather for times of community building, games, worship, Bible teaching, and discussion groups! If you are or have a middle school or high school student, have them join us for food, fellowship, and fun each Wednesday!
